Job Description
La Quinta Virginia Beach is seeking an Engineer to assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at our upscale property. If you have a passion for hospitality and possess the necessary skills, consider joining our team to deliver unparalleled guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance for a variety of guest room amenities, including light bulbs, furniture, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
- Maintain ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC systems, and swimming pool and hot tub.
- Execute plumbing and laundry equipment repairs, monitor energy conservation, and respond to alarms promptly.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
Qualifications
- Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Licensure in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) is preferred.
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state is necessary.
- Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) specific to the property is required.
