Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive route paperwork, truck, and trailer assignments and instructions for the route
- Conduct pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections of all units operated
- Verify loads, destination, and secure proper load shipments
- Follow route plans and meet delivery/pickup requirements for each store
- Communicate any issues affecting the route plan
- Secure all cargo throughout the delivery route
- Complete and verify all required paperwork and temperature requirements
- Accurately report hours of service in compliance with DOT regulations using an ELD
