Job Description
We are looking for a Customer Service and Stock Specialist to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking product, cashiering, and maintaining the store's appearance to provide exceptional customer service.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Participate in store inventory counts and observe inventory accuracy
- Follow cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Adhere to company policies and procedures ensuring security and confidentiality
- Perform physical tasks including stocking merchandise and general store upkeep
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old
- Prompt and courteous customer service skills
- Efficient operation of cash register and store equipment
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Work independently and within a team environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience or equivalent knowledge
