Job Description
As a Store Operations Assistant at ALDI, you will play a vital role in ensuring the store's smooth operation and providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to enhancing the shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate adherence to ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Deliver exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping needs
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management
- Provide feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Follow cash handling policies and company procedures
- Adhere to company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service
- Capable of operating a cash register efficiently
- Ability to use store equipment safely and correctly
- Skilled in general cleaning tasks and following company standards
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking
- Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail experience is a plus
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
