1st Shift Full-Time Warehouse Associate

Job Description

The 1st Shift Full-Time Warehouse Associate at Aldi is responsible for efficiently selecting and receiving incoming stock to fulfill store orders, relocating merchandise, sorting, organizing, and loading merchandise for shipment, and participating in warehouse inventory counts. This role also includes general cleaning duties to maintain warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements, along with effective cooperation and interaction with warehouse leadership and peers. The warehouse associate will be expected to operate equipment according to safety guidelines, report product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues, and perform other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and load merchandise strategically in preparation for shipment and unload incoming shipment from trucks/back-hauls.
• Participate in taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines.
• Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
• Provide input to the warehouse management to improve processes.
• Inspect product, consult with the warehouse management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
• Assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals.
• Follow the ergonomic program according to established procedures.
• Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and within company policy and procedures.
• Operate equipment according to safety guidelines in performance of essential job functions.
• Notify management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Frequently lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
• Sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse.
• Work in varying temperatures, hot and cold, including outdoor temperatures and refrigerator/freezer environments.
• Safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment.
