1st Shift Full-Time Warehouse Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a 1st Shift Full-Time Warehouse Associate to join our team at Aldi. As an essential part of the warehouse operations, you will play a crucial role in receiving incoming stock, strategically organizing and relocating merchandise, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness. You will actively contribute to improving processes, communicating effectively with warehouse leadership, and driving towards achieving budgeted goals.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and strategically load merchandise for shipment and unload incoming shipments from trucks/back-hauls.
• Perform general cleaning duties and participate in taking inventory counts.
• Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
• Provide input to warehouse management regarding changes to improve processes.
• Inspect product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
• Independently act and decide within the delegated area of responsibility.
• Assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals.
• Follow warehouse ergonomic program and operate equipment according to safety guidelines.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI.
• Demonstrates concern for quality, product integrity, and safety in work and impact to the stores.
• Commits and supports a collaborative working environment.
• Adapts positively to pressure, setbacks, challenges, and change to achieve and sustain peak effectiveness.
• Delivers excellent performance, adhering to ALDI policies and procedures.
• Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Frequently lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
• Work in varying temperatures, hot and cold, and ability to operate powered industrial equipment.
