Job Description
Aldi is hiring a 1st Shift Warehouse Operations Supervisor in a full-time role, averaging 45 hours per week with a starting salary of $80,000 per year. As the Warehouse Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily receiving, selection, shipping of products, and modifying daily work schedules to meet warehouse needs. You will also develop and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports, ensuring a sense of teamwork and membership among employees. This role will involve addressing warehouse issues, training and developing direct reports, and ensuring a safe and compliant environment while monitoring and managing controllable expenses. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and maintaining proper working order of equipment, with additional as-needed duties.
Responsibilities
- Establish and modify daily work schedules.
- Coordinate job activities and tasks of direct reports.
- Oversee daily receiving, selection, and shipping of products.
- Monitor processes for inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Develop and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Interact effectively with peers and collaborate with other divisional operational areas.
- Provide input and recommendations to improve the operation.
- Monitor competitive environment and inform management regarding necessary adjustments.
- Recommend personnel for advancement and termination, as appropriate.
- Supervise the activities of warehouse personnel, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of day-to-day operations.
- Lead, plan, and facilitate regularly scheduled Warehouse Associate meetings.
- Train and develop direct reports to achieve their maximum professional potential.
- Supervise the timely, accurate, and efficient storage of product, supplies, and equipment, complies with food safety, sanitation, maintenance, and operational safety guidelines and procedures.
- Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, manage controllable expenses, provide appropriate inventory and efficiency results.
- Ensure a safe environment and maintain equipment in proper working order.
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Frequently work in varying temperatures, hot and cold.
- Ability to frequently lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
