1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

At Aldi, we are seeking a reliable and efficient 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for efficiently fulfilling and preparing orders for shipment, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, and participating in inventory management. Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently and accurately to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines.
• Strategically sort, organize, and load merchandise in preparation for shipment while maintaining warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
• Participate in taking warehouse inventory counts according to established guidelines.
• Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership through ongoing communication and exchange of information.
• Provide input to warehouse management regarding process improvements.
• Inspect products, consult with warehouse management regarding quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
• Act independently within the delegated area of responsibility and assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals.

Job Qualifications

To be employed for this role at Aldi, you must be 18 years of age or older. You must also exhibit a positive attitude, resilience, and drive for success. Moreover, you should be organized, efficient, and be able to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent lifting and placement of products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights, as well as moving merchandise from warehouse stock and preparing products for store deliveries. You must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse. Additionally, you should be able to work in varying temperatures, both hot and cold, and operate powered industrial equipment safely and properly.
