Job Description

Our warehouse operations ensure that products are properly received, selected, and delivered to our stores for our ever-growing number of customers to enjoy. On average, our warehouse employees work less than 30 hours per week. Our teams are comprised of hardworking, dedicated individuals who work in both ambient and temperature-controlled areas. A thorough and comprehensive training and safety program provide the skills our associates need to be successful.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to effectively fulfill orders received from stores.
• Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and load merchandise strategically in preparation for shipment and unload incoming shipment from trucks/back-hauls.
• Perform general cleaning duties to achieve warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
• Participate in taking warehouse inventory counts according to guidelines.
• Cooperate and interact effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership through ongoing communication and exchange of information.
• Provide input to the warehouse management regarding changes to improve processes.
• Inspect product, consult with warehouse management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
• Act and decide independently within the delegated area of responsibility.
• Assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals.
• Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and within company policy and procedures.
• Follow the ergonomic program according to established procedures.
• Operate equipment according to safety guidelines in the performance of essential job functions.
• Notify management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
• Frequent movement of merchandise from warehouse stock and preparation of products for store deliveries.
• Frequently required to sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse.
• Continuously work in varying temperatures, hot and cold (including outdoor temperatures and refrigerator/freezer environments).
• Ability to safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment.

Salary and Benefits

Starting Wage: $21.00 per hour
