Job Description

The 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler position at Aldi is responsible for efficiently handling incoming stock to fulfill store orders, relocating merchandise within the warehouse, preparing merchandise for shipment, performing general cleaning duties, participating in warehouse inventory counts, and effectively collaborating with peers and warehouse leadership. The role also involves providing input to improve processes, inspecting product quality, and achieving budgeted goals.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise within the warehouse according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and load merchandise strategically in preparation for shipment and unload incoming shipments from trucks/back-hauls.
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.

Job Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at Aldi.
• Demonstrate concern for quality, product integrity, and safety of one's own and others' work and impact to the stores.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Frequently required to lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
