1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

Aldi is seeking a warehouse package handler to join our team. As a package handler, you will be responsible for selecting and receiving incoming stock, relocating merchandise, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety. You will collaborate with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership to ensure effective communication and exchange of information.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, load, and unload merchandise strategically in preparation for shipment.
• Perform general cleaning duties to achieve warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
• Participate in-taking warehouse inventory counts and provide input to warehouse management regarding process improvements.
• Inspect product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues independently within the delegated area of responsibility.
• Assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals and operate equipment according to safety guidelines.

Job Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.

• Delivers excellent performance and maintains compliance with ALDI standards.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic equations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
• Frequently move merchandise and operate powered industrial equipment.
• Work in varying temperatures, hot and cold, including outdoor temperatures and refrigerator/freezer environments.
