1st Shift Warehouse Team Member

Job Description

We are seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Team Member to join our team at Aldi. As an integral part of our warehouse operations, you will play a key role in efficiently fulfilling orders from stores, relocating merchandise, strategic loading and unloading of shipments, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety standards. In addition, you will collaborate with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership to improve processes and achieve budgeted goals. The role involves consistently performing assigned tasks, following company policies and procedures, and notifying management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise throughout the warehouse according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and strategically load merchandise for shipment and unload incoming shipments.
• Perform general cleaning duties and maintain warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
• Participate in taking warehouse inventory counts and provide input to improve processes.
• Inspect and consult with warehouse management regarding product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
• Assist warehouse management in achieving budgeted goals.
• Follow the ergonomic program and operate equipment according to safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
• Move merchandise from warehouse stock and prepare products for store deliveries.
• Sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse and work in varying temperatures.
• Safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment.
