1st Shift Warehouse Team Member

Job Description

Aldi is seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Team Member to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and selecting incoming stock efficiently, organizing and relocating merchandise, and maintaining the warehouse's appearance and safety standards. Additionally, the role includes participating in warehouse inventory counts, collaborating with peers and warehouse leadership, and providing input to improve processes. The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old and demonstrate conscientiousness, collaboration, positive attitude, resilience, drive for success, and organizational efficiency within ALDI Acts competencies.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock efficiently to fulfill store orders.
• Relocate merchandise according to product handling guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and strategically load merchandise for shipment and unload incoming shipments.
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
• Participate in taking warehouse inventory counts and provide input on process improvements.
• Inspect and consult on product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues.
• Operate equipment according to safety guidelines and follow company policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Basic arithmetic equation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Physical Requirements

Frequent lifting and placing of products weighing up to 45 pounds, movement of merchandise, sitting, standing, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking throughout the warehouse, and working in varying temperatures and refrigerated environments. Must be able to safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment.
