The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Advanced Kill Chain Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Berkeley, MO or St. Louis, MO.
This position will work within the Advanced Kill Chain software team supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The role involves the development of real-time embedded software, analyzing and debugging software issues, and working in an Agile, collaborative environment. The selected candidate(s) will have the opportunity to play a key role in the development and maintenance of software in support of some of the newest and most advanced systems and capabilities on air dominance platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead activities to develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.
- Lead development and maintenance of code and integration of software components into a fully functional software system.
- Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads less experienced software engineers.
- Plans, executes, and documents software research and development projects.
- Leads development, selection, tailoring, and deployment of processes, tools, and metrics.
- Develops software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Works under minimal direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other technical degree.
- 5+ years’ experience with C, C++, Ada, Java, and/or Python.
- 3+ years’ experience leading a project or technical team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing mission systems software on aircraft platforms.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders of different backgrounds and skill levels.
- Experience using team collaboration tools including Git, Agility, Jenkins, and Collaborator or similar tools.
- Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
