The Boeing Company is seeking Software Engineers - Boeing Air Dominance (Associate or Experienced) to join the BDS Air Dominance Software Engineering group located in St Louis, MO region (Berkeley and Hazelwood). This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

Our Bombers and Fighters software engineers design, develop, and demonstrate avionics solutions for the platforms we build and upgrade. Your efforts will assist integration of innovative technologies to maintain our platform’s dominance over the battlefield for many decades to come. The programs include the F-15, F/A-18, F-22, T-7, MQ-25, and advanced programs. Additionally, our software engineers support the Flight Simulation products associated with our platforms.

Our engineers are involved in all aspects of these programs (software requirements, design, code, and test) and our agile development approach allows new hires to quickly become very impactful and make a difference to our success!

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate and Experienced Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities

  • Supporting software development on agile teams tasked with integrating/implementing solutions onto a platform.
  • Developing high-fidelity simulation and environment software and toolsets to enable rapid development, test, and deployment of high-quality software solutions.
  • Utilizing analytical problem-solving skills to resolve issues for the company and suppliers.
  • Delivering improved weapon system capabilities to customers.
  • Applying engineering knowledge to continuously improve processes and tools.
  • Conducting analysis using engineering principles.

These positions are expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which U.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain interim and/or final U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).

Required Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Coursework or work-related programming experience in software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, JAVA, and Python.
  • 2+ years of experience in a project utilizing various software development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Highest level U.S. security clearance held within the past 24 months.
  • Experience in embedded real-time software development.
  • Experience in models and simulation development.
  • Experience with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Exposure to object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile software development.
  • Knowledge of open architecture constructs like Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Open Communication Standard (OCS).
  • Experience with software architecture development using modeling tools.
  • Proficiency with configuration management and collaboration tools like Git, JIRA, Collaborator, and VersionOne.

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range for Associate: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00, Mid-Level: $104,550.00 - $141,450.00.
