Community Bank President/Ag Lender

Job Description

We are looking for a Community Bank President/Ag Lender to lead our team in Newton, generating quality Ag and Commercial loans, representing Bank Iowa in the community, and managing a team of Relationship Managers and Loan Assistants. This pivotal role involves building strong client relationships, fostering business growth, and contributing to the community's development. The successful candidate will champion the bank's values, culture, and strategic direction, overseeing loan portfolio management, client retention, and community engagement activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bank's values, culture, and strategic direction, serving as the primary representative in the community.
• Drive community bank loan and deposit growth goals through active involvement in business development.
• Manage an agriculture and commercial loan portfolio, nurturing strong client relationships for business growth and retention.
• Make loan approval decisions within specified limits, escalating applications outside those limits to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Ag Business, Finance, Economics, or related field with 7+ years of lending and banking experience.
• Strong Agriculture background preferred with supervisory and management experience.
• Ideal candidates will possess leadership, credit analysis, underwriting, and sales experience.
