Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is a crucial role providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources. This 24x7x365 position demands a solid understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. The role requires professionalism, technical proficiency, and the ability to maintain composure during customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Provide timely resolution and/or escalation of Facility and customer issues.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and document them using the Flexential ticketing system.
• Ensure compliance with Flexential Support and Data Center policies.
• Assist in physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
• Maintain Data Center cleanliness and perform Facilities Rounds.
• Operate the Badge Access Security System and assist the Critical Infrastructure Manager as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.
• Previous experience in an IT Support environment is preferred.
• Certification such as Network +, Security +, CCNA, Microsoft MCP, or MCSA is desirable.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Capability to work in cold temperature environments and lift heavy objects.
• Proficiency in installing cabling and operating pallet jacks.
