Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Deck Engineer to join our Hornblower Vessel Maintenance team at City Experiences. As a vital part of our crew, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of vessel machinery and equipment, ensuring smooth sailing and exceptional service delivery. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Captain and Mate to guarantee the vessel's optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on diesel engines, generators, hydraulic systems, and other machinery onboard.
- Assist in underwater machinery maintenance, vessel plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Support the Port Engineer with heavy machinery maintenance and repair work.
- Engage in dry dock repairs and deck operations as needed.
- Participate in daily top side responsibilities, line handling, and docking operations.
- Adhere to a 2-week rotational schedule living onboard the vessel.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- USCG MMC with ABS endorsement.
- Prior experience in marine engineering or related fields.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
Salary: $350/day
