Job Description
The Engineer 1 at La Quinta Denver - Golden is responsible for ensuring the property is maintained in top condition with minimal inconvenience to customers and employees. The role involves a range of maintenance tasks including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and equipment repairs.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the hotel's air conditioning system, change filters, and clean coils.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, and electrical systems.
- Test and record readings on various equipment, including cooling towers.
- Repair, replace, and program televisions, light switches, and fixtures.
- Perform plumbing repairs, understand blueprints, and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Trade school or college coursework helpful.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and guests.
- Must be able to handle heavy work and be flexible with hours.
Salary Range
$17.50/hr - $19.50/hr
