Job Description
Altair Bay Harbor Hotel Miami is looking for an Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. As an Engineer, Level 1, you will be responsible for maintaining the property in excellent condition with minimal disruptions to customers and employees. Your role will involve a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the property operates efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the hotel's air conditioning system, including changing filters and cleaning coils.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Take readings on equipment, test cooling towers, and replace televisions when necessary.
- Perform furniture repair, plumbing repairs, and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
- Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records, ensuring compliance with all codes.
- Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas, and undertake painting and wall repair tasks.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent, with experience in a hotel or related field.
- At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Trade school or college coursework in a related field is helpful.
- Must be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with employees and guests.
- Flexible schedule sometimes required, with the ability to handle heavy work and provide excellent customer service.
