Job Description
The Stanford Court Hotel is seeking an Engineer 2 to maintain the property in optimal condition while minimizing inconvenience to guests and staff. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel's systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the air conditioning system, change filters, clean coils, and replace motors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Test and record readings, replace televisions, light fixtures, switches, receptacles, and more.
- Perform furniture, plumbing, pump, wall, and pool repairs, among others.
- Assist with supervising engineering staff and scheduling maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required, with at least one year of experience in a hotel or related field.
- Preferably two years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
- Trade school or college coursework in a related field is a plus.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and work flexible hours.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- EPA certified and able to cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
Salary Range: $59.42 per hour
