Job Description
The Gabriel South Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a dedicated Engineer to ensure that the property is maintained in optimal condition while minimizing inconvenience to guests and staff. As a crucial member of the team, you will be responsible for a range of repair and maintenance tasks to uphold the high standards of the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the hotel air conditioning system, including changing filters and cleaning coils.
- Perform preventive maintenance on various equipment such as boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
- Take readings on equipment and test cooling tower functionality.
- Replace and program televisions, light switches, receptacles, bulbs, fixtures, and furniture as needed.
- Handle plumbing repairs, understand blueprints, troubleshoot water lines, repair kitchen equipment, and maintain swimming pools and spas.
- Conduct painting, sheet rock repair, wall covering maintenance, and electronic lock system programming.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required, hotel experience is a plus.
- Progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Trade school or college coursework in a related field beneficial.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work flexible hours.
- Must be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain high standards of personal appearance and conduct.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $16.00 + Benefits
