Job Description

We are looking for an Executive Aide to join Case Western Reserve University's School of Medicine Dean’s Office team. As the executive aide, you will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations, enabling the dean and chief of staff to focus on providing leadership for the school. Responsibilities

  • Maintain calendars, coordinate travel, and manage communication for the dean and chief of staff.
  • Establish standards for excellent service to academic and administrative units.
  • Provide executive assistance to streamline administrative functions for the dean.
  • Participate in strategic planning and assist with special projects.
  • Act as a liaison between the Dean's Office, faculty, students, and external contacts.
  • Conduct institutional research and prepare reports to support decision-making.
  • Assist in financial planning, budget development, and expense tracking.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive administrative experience, preferably in a university or non-profit setting.
  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate in a team, and maintain confidentiality.

Working Conditions

This role requires flexibility in working hours, handling short lead times, and adapting to changing priorities. Candidates must be comfortable working with computers and phones for extended periods and occasional weekend shifts.
