Job Description
We are looking for an Executive Aide to join Case Western Reserve University's School of Medicine Dean's Office. As the executive aide, you will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the office, ensuring smooth functionality and efficiency to support the dean and chief of staff in their leadership roles within the school.
Responsibilities
- Manage office operations, including maintaining calendars and coordinating travel arrangements for the dean and chief of staff.
- Act as a liaison between the dean, chief of staff, academic units, and administrative offices.
- Provide executive assistance to streamline administrative functions and serve as a link to faculty members.
- Participate in strategic planning, program implementation, and special projects.
- Support students and assist with candidate visits and events.
- Engage in institutional research, data gathering, and report preparation.
- Contribute to financial planning, budget development, and expense tracking.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in progressive administrative roles, preferably in a university or non-profit setting.
- Education: Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong administrative and technical skills.
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Customer service orientation and flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
Working Conditions
This role involves managing short lead times, conflicting priorities, and office complexities. Flexibility with schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, is required.
