Job Description
Case Western Reserve University is seeking an Executive Aide for the School of Medicine Dean's Office. This full-time position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the office, allowing the dean and chief of staff to focus on providing leadership to the school effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations, including maintaining calendars and coordinating travel arrangements for the dean and chief of staff.
- Act as a liaison between the dean, chief of staff, academic units, and external contacts to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
- Provide executive assistance to streamline administrative functions and support strategic planning initiatives.
- Participate in institutional research, prepare reports, and assist in financial planning and budget development.
- Support candidate visits, serve as the department HR liaison, and ensure compliance with university policies.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive administrative experience, preferably in a university or non-profit executive office.
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate in a team, and maintain confidentiality.
Working Conditions
This position requires flexibility with schedules, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends. The successful candidate will handle short lead times, conflicting priorities, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
