Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking Mid-Career Industrial Engineers to lead a team of industrial engineers supporting metals and composite parts fabrication in Hazelwood, MO.
As an Industrial Engineering Team Leader, you will work closely with operations leaders and other stakeholders to stabilize production rates and improve productivity. The IE team you will be leading will play a critical role in helping operations manage the production system and improve processes into the future.
Responsibilities
- Leads employees performing industrial engineering activities associated with technical development, implementation, analysis, and improvement activities throughout the business units.
- Leads, develops, and motivates employees.
- Applies industrial engineering techniques and concepts to improve schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts.
- Manages, defines, negotiates, and controls the scope, cost, and timing of projects.
- Uses engineering methods to support the development of optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial engineering or similar role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience supporting a manufacturing operation.
- Experience with process improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with data analysis.
