Job Description
The Homewood Suites Portsmouth is seeking a Maintenance staff member to handle regular maintenance tasks including painting, light plumbing, and preventive maintenance. Working alongside the Chief Engineer, you will also assist with grounds and property upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the operation maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Perform various maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, touch-up painting, furniture repairs, and plumbing repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance for various equipment including ice machines, refrigerators, and HVAC systems.
- Respond to alarms promptly, determine emergency status, and report findings to the Chief Engineer.
- Available for on-call rotation and other assigned tasks by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensure in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) is preferred.
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state is necessary.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
