Phantom Works is seeking operations analysis engineers who are passionate about creatively solving complex problems at the front end of the business! These engineers lead and deliver far-reaching analyses to address military capability gaps, in and across multiple warfighting domains, in the face of accelerating adversary capabilities! The team is responsible for producing effectiveness analysis for warfare platforms and emerging constituent technologies, as well as the integration of assets across air, space, surface, subsurface, and cyberspace domains. Observations derived from the analyses will be used to develop offerings and drive business strategy across the entirety of the BDS portfolio. External collaboration with customers and suppliers, as well as internal collaboration with Mission Systems, Configuration Design, Propulsion, and other fields, will be required to gather model inputs and share analysis results.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels, including Associate and Experienced Operations Analysis Engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct study planning, scoping, development, testing, analysis, implementation, and reporting
  • Apply new and current tools, including AFSIM, MATLAB, and others, to conduct analysis
  • Develop observations and recommendations, based on data, and present to government customers and senior leadership
  • Exercise critical thinking and innovative problem solving
  • Work in a fast-paced and multifaceted environment, with evolving challenges
  • Support new business pursuits, including white papers and proposals, bring analysis to bear to start and shape new programs
  • Ability to work independently or in team settings, according to project needs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Prior engineering experience with aircraft, spacecraft, weapons, or related systems
  • Technical communication skills for creating and presenting briefings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with AFSIM, Brawler, or other modeling tools or computer programming

Typical Education and Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 3)

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates.

Summary pay range Level 2 (Associate): $81,600 – $110,400

Summary pay range Level 3 (Experienced): $97,750- $132,250
