Job Description
Join our collaborative team at ALDI as a Part-Time Store Cashier/Stocker. As a key member of our retail operations, you will operate the registers or machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and provide excellent customer service. The role offers variety and interaction with customers on a daily basis.
Position Details
- Job Type: Part-Time
- Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
Common Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members and communicate key information to direct leaders
- Maintain document and data security within your area of responsibility
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Cashier Responsibilities:
- Process customer purchases and maintain a clean store environment
- Provide exceptional customer service and offer assistance during shopping
- Provide feedback on products, inventory, and scanning issues
- Assist in store inventory counts and ensure cash handling compliance
Stocker Responsibilities:
- Stock shelves with fresh products and follow merchandising guidelines
- Organize inventory and operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Handle up to 45-pound products and manage various shelving heights
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
- Effective communication skills and teamwork
- Strong time management and product knowledge
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail experience desired
- Blend of education and experience to meet job requirements
