Boeing Commercial Airplanes has an exciting opportunity for a Press Operator Hydraulic & Mechanic A to join our team in Everett, WA and Algona, WA.
Mechanics in this position set up, operate, and adjust a variety of mechanical and hydraulic presses. They form materials such as composite, metal, and alloy using hot and cold dies, as well as install and remove dies and punches of various sizes and weights.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, install, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems, hardware, and equipment.
- Operate computer to access information from prints, sketches, and Boeing specifications.
- Perform safety checks of machines and work areas, moving heavy materials as needed.
- Set up press cycle programs, load dies securely, and examine tools for damage.
- Clean parts, equipment, and tools, and maintain personal and tool certifications.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate must work onsite at one of the listed location options and must be a “US Person” as defined by regulations.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- 1+ years of experience setting and using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- 1+ years of experience reading blueprints and structural drawings.
- 1+ years of experience operating a hydraulic press.
Summary pay range: $21.00 - $44.08 per hour.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Must be able to stand, twist, bend, kneel, and occasionally crawl within an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to work in noisy environments while completing tasks.
