Job Description
The Gabriel South Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a part-time Overnight Engineer to ensure the property is maintained in top condition. The role involves making repairs, performing preventive maintenance on various equipment, troubleshooting and repairing kitchen equipment, and maintaining records of all repairs and maintenance carried out.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system, change filters, and clean coils.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment such as boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and more.
- Replace and program televisions as needed and perform furniture repairs.
- Understand and read blueprints and wiring diagrams, trace and repair water lines.
- Test, clean, and repair swimming pools, paint designated areas, and repair sheet rock and wall coverings.
- Repair and program hotel electronic lock systems.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Trade school or college coursework in a related field is helpful.
- Ability to exert physical force occasionally and effectively communicate with employees and guests.
- Must be attentive, friendly, and service-oriented, able to multitask, handle problems effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
