General Summary
As a Radiology Technologist at Corewell Health, you will perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in general radiology, demonstrating clinical skills and ensuring the best possible images for interpretation. Compliance with radiation protection principles and regulations is essential, along with providing clinical instruction and upholding Corewell Health's philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality diagnostic exams with patient verification.
- Monitor patients for safety during procedures.
- Utilize age-appropriate methods for radiographic procedures.
- Communicate effectively with staff and medical professionals.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently.
- Follow ALARA standards for radiation exposure minimization.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients.
- Assist in training new hires and students.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT certification upon hire.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT certification within 180 days.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA certification upon hire.
