Job Description
We are seeking a talented Radiology Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health on a Full-time basis. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in general radiology, ensuring patient safety and providing the highest quality images for interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality diagnostic exams after verifying patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient histories and document them in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety.
- Utilize appropriate methods for patients' physical abilities and limitations during radiographic procedures.
- Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and follow protocols for malfunctions or quality control issues.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and their families before exams.
- Assist in training new hires and students.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam rooms and ensure equipment readiness.
- Maintain competency in various diagnostic procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- Current CRT-Radiographer (R) and CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and safety.
