Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Star Valley Health. This Full-Time position in Afton, WY offers a minimum salary of $30.48 per hour, with additional bonuses and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. As an integral part of the nursing team, the Registered Nurse will be responsible for the delivery of quality resident care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, contributing to the development of individualized care plans and providing direct supervision and coordination of the resident care team. Collaborating with other professional disciplines, the Registered Nurse ensures effective and efficient resident care, and is responsible for following facility policies and procedures, federal and state guidelines, as well as physician orders and other administrative directives.
Job Duties
- Reviews CNA's resident assignments and duties at the beginning of the shift, and communicates ongoing evaluation of resident needs to the CNA's throughout the shift.
- Assures that quality of care is given to each resident by supervising, directing, and motivating the CNA's in her charge, according to the plan of care and policies and procedures.
- Assesses each resident for problems and needs through conversation, observation, and physical assessment, and provides direct supervision and coordination of the resident care team.
- Is able to give constructive feedback and discuss resident care issues that conflict with quality resident care, and reports changes in condition to the attending or on call physician as well as the family.
- Arranges for emergency or outpatient services as needed on her shift through the attending physician or physician on call, and provides direct resident care, including the administration of medications, performs and assists with ADL's, treatments, and therapies within the knowledge base of her training and under the coverage of the Nurse Practice Act.

Abilities & Skills:
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon request as needed.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work with others and possess the communication and interpersonal relationship skills needed for a leadership position.
- Assessment skills to identify and recognize resident physical and mental needs, and comply with HIPAA and other federal, state, and local regulations as well as maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in client and staff matters.
Experience & Education:
- Maintain skills through training provided as well as self-study.
- Graduate of a state-approved nursing program.
- Currently licensed as a RN in the State of Wyoming.
- Completion of the SV Health/SVCC orientation program.
