Senior Applications Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Applications Engineer to join Dover Precision Components at Bearings Plus. As a Senior Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for executing repair orders and new builds for field retrofits, collaborating with customers, performing engineering analysis, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions for rotating machinery projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering proposals and analyze product designs to determine optimal solutions for customer projects.
• Develop relationships with customers, participate in meetings, and address technical concerns for effective project management.
• Conduct Rotor Dynamic Analysis, bearing calculations, and assist with design process improvement efforts.
• Lead fluid film bearing training seminars tailored to audience needs.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, preferably with a focus on rotating machinery or fluid film bearings.
• 5+ years of post-graduate experience in engineering, including FEA analysis and familiarity with measurement tools.
• Proficiency in simulation software such as NASTRAN/ANSYS, MATLAB, and 3D CAD.
