Job Description

Civista Bank is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mortgage Lender to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for originating first mortgage loans, building relationships with real estate community partners, and addressing the financial needs of our community. By actively engaging with referral partners and participating in various community activities, you will contribute to Civista Bank's mission of improving financial lives and making a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to solicit first mortgage and home equity loans through referral partners and community events.
• Meet with customers to complete loan applications and gather necessary documentation.
• Screen loan requests, propose various loan options, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, and builders throughout the loan process.
• Stay informed about industry legislation and regulations to advise senior management on policy adjustments.
• Promote and maintain relationships with local businesses and participate in special credit programs.

Requirements

• Five or more years of Mortgage Lending experience in a financial institution.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of banking practices, regulations, compliance, and Fair Lending laws.
• Proficiency in computer literacy (Word, Excel) and data entry.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and confidentiality.
