Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist to join our team at S&C Electric Company. Reporting to the Global Health, Safety & Environmental team, this role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, providing guidance on health, safety & environmental matters, and coordinating training for team members.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct health, safety & environmental training.
• Maintain training records and documentation.
• Refine programs and procedures for efficiency and compliance.
• Assess and track regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with various departments to meet safety & environmental objectives.
• Conduct facility audits and inspections.
• Provide expertise on safety programs, emergency response plans, and compliance measures.
• Perform environmental monitoring and analysis.
• Review contractor safety plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in health, safety & environmental coordination in manufacturing.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Proficiency in incident investigation and training delivery.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and travel as needed.
• Experience with health, safety & environmental data management software.

Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as OHST, ASP, or CSP are a plus.

Physical Demands

• Travel may be required to various locations.
• Physical activities like standing, lifting, bending, and computer use are involved.
• Flexibility for on-call and after-hours work.
