Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a highly qualified Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist to join our team at S&C Electric Company. In this role, you will be reporting to the Global Health, Safety & Environmental team and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal requirements related to health, safety & environmental matters. Your primary duties will involve coordinating training, refining programs, maintaining compliance documentation, and overseeing facility audits to ensure adherence to regulations. Additionally, you will provide guidance on a range of safety & environmental initiatives including emergency response plans, hazard communication, waste management, air emissions, and incident prevention.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering/Science, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated high-level performance in safety & environmental functions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• OHST, ASP, or CSP certifications are a plus.
• Experience with health, safety & environmental data management software.

Physical Demands

• Periodic travel may be required to S&C locations.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and support after-hours work.
