Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist to join our GHSE team at S&C Electric Company. This role involves coordinating and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across our facilities. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with various departments to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate health, safety, and environmental training for team members.
• Maintain compliance documentation and records.
• Review and enhance safety programs and procedures.
• Conduct facility audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide guidance on safety, environmental, and emergency response protocols.
• Collaborate with different departments to meet safety objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in incident investigation and risk assessment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• OHST, ASP, or CSP certifications.
• Experience with health, safety, and environmental data management software.

Physical Demands

• Travel required for inspections and seminars (up to 20%).
• Physical activities such as standing, lifting, and bending may be necessary.
• Ability to work after hours as needed.
