Job Description
We are currently looking for a talented Senior Special Procedure Tech to join our team at Corewell Health. As the Senior Special Procedure Tech, you will provide direct care for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures and assist physicians in delivering quality patient-centered care. This position involves monitoring patients during procedures, performing IV starts, documenting procedures, and educating patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients undergoing invasive procedures and provide technical support.
- Perform and record hemodynamic/physiologic waveforms and calculations.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, physicians, and patients.
- Maintain radiation safety standards and perform quality assurance checks on equipment.
- Participate in On-Call rotations and provide training to junior techs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program related to the specific department.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, or EP Lab.
- Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and specialty-specific registrations.
- Excellent communication, computer, and customer service skills.
