Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for various tasks including merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the store. Your role will be essential in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers by providing exceptional service and working collaboratively with the Aldi team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
• Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, and neatly stock shelves and merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service, guide customers during their shopping experience, and communicate effectively with the team and management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to the management team.
• Participate in inventory counts following guidelines and ensuring accuracy.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses and comply with company policies and security measures.

Physical Demands

The role requires the ability to stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform various physical tasks within the store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
• Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Demonstrate organization, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior retail experience is a plus.
