Technical Designer (Hybrid)

Join our team at Cella as a Technical Designer (Hybrid) in Framingham, Massachusetts! Our client, a leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions, is looking for a talented Technical Designer to ensure all garments meet quality standards. You will play a key role in developing and communicating fit and specification requirements to vendors, emphasizing quality and value for customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop fit and specification requirements based on design concepts.
• Collaborate with agents and factories to ensure garment specifications align with company standards.
• Review fit/production samples, recommend changes to meet specifications.
• Approve specifications for bulk production and manage fit sessions.
• Resolve problems promptly, ensuring timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in spec'ing, fitting, and grading garments.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM software.
• Strong knowledge of garment specifications and garment testing standards.
• Effective communication and mathematical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and exhibit strong leadership skills.
