Job Description

We are hiring a 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join the team at Aldi. As a Package Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently selecting and receiving incoming stock, moving merchandise within the warehouse, preparing shipments, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization. This role requires working full-time hours, with a starting wage ranging from $18.00 to $24.00 per hour based on shift and schedule differential pay.

Responsibilities

  • Select and receive incoming stock to fulfill store orders.
  • Relocate merchandise in the warehouse according to guidelines.
  • Sort, organize, and load merchandise for shipment.
  • Perform general cleaning duties to maintain warehouse standards.
  • Participate in warehouse inventory counts.
  • Collaborate effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
  • Provide input to improve warehouse processes.
  • Inspect product quality and report any issues.
  • Perform tasks accurately, efficiently, and within company procedures.
  • Operate equipment following safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Demonstrate conscientiousness, teamwork, positive attitude, resilience, and drive for success.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and basic arithmetic skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Move merchandise, sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk.
  • Work in varying temperatures and operate powered industrial equipment.
