Job Description
Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison to join our team. In this strategic leadership role, you will collaborate with the Oncology US Medical Affairs team to manage and inspire a team of Medical Science Liaisons. Your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance to cultivate thought leaders in Hematology-Oncology at various levels and territories, ensuring alignment with our product research and business objectives. The Associate Director will lead, coach, and develop MSLs to support high performance and strategic direction, while also maintaining territory engagement plans and reporting clinical insights. This position requires managing a team geographically spanning half of the US and close collaboration with medical and commercial teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of MSLs, including hiring, development, performance evaluation, and training.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in specific therapeutic areas.
- Ensure team adherence to corporate and healthcare compliance guidelines.
Qualifications
- MD, PharmD, PhD degree or equivalent, Oncology experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience, previous team management preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in presenting data to external and internal audiences.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Field-based position with up to 60% travel.
