Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant General Manager to join our team at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all hotel operations, ensuring efficiency, guest satisfaction, and compliance with standards. You will play a key role in managing staff, maintaining the property, and upholding quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in day-to-day operations and staff management.
  • Assign duties to department heads and ensure adherence to hotel policies.
  • Provide training to staff and maintain high-quality service standards.
  • Act as a public relations director, promoting the property within the industry and community.
  • Monitor guest feedback and resolve complaints to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Conduct property inspections, maintain physical plant standards, and oversee maintenance activities.
  • Build strong relationships with staff, departments, and guests to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in business planning and handle key property issues in the absence of the General Manager.

Requirements

  • Strong management skills with the ability to delegate effectively and provide guidance to achieve goals.
  • Degree or diploma in hotel management or a related field with prior hotel management experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 3-4 years in a managerial role.
  • Excellent language, reasoning, and computer skills.
