Assistant Retail Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Retail Manager to join the ALDI team. In this role, you will assist with supervising day-to-day store activities, optimizing store performance, managing schedules, and supporting team development. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to operational strategies and foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the direct leader to enhance operating results through effective action plans.
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members for goal alignment.
• Identify training opportunities to boost team performance and growth.
• Promote company values and create a sense of teamwork among employees.
• Monitor the competitive landscape and provide feedback for store improvement.
• Participate in the store personnel recruitment process.
• Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product quality standards, and customer service excellence.
• Maintain store cleanliness and proper stock levels.
• Supervise daily operations, escalating issues when necessary, to ensure customer service excellence.
• Comply with company policies and uphold data security and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 for employment at ALDI.
• Strong teamwork and customer service orientation.
• Ability to lead, communicate effectively, and apply company policies.
• Proficient in budget management and operational efficiency.
• Experience in retail management and operating equipment.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Meet requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years retail experience; management experience preferred.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
