Job Description

We are looking for a talented Clinical Development Lead specializing in Solid Tumor Oncology, specifically in BTC (Biliary Tract Cancer) and GEA (Gastroesophageal Adenocarcinoma), to join Jazz Pharmaceuticals. As the Clinical Development Lead, you will lead the late-stage development and life-cycle management of a key Oncology asset for BTC and GEA, playing a crucial role in driving the Clinical Development strategy for these indications. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, overseeing clinical trials, data analysis, risk management, and external partnerships to advance the oncology pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the clinical development of Oncology programs in BTC and GEA, aligning with corporate objectives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive global clinical development plans, including study design and regulatory strategy.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless execution of clinical development programs.
  • Manage clinical trials, monitor data quality, and ensure patient safety throughout development phases.
  • Analyze clinical trial data, interpret results, and make informed decisions regarding trial progression.
  • Identify risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain external collaborations.
  • Manage budget allocation, resource planning, and foster a high-performance culture within the team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in leading the development of Solid Tumor Oncology assets through late-stage development and commercialization.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing clinical development teams.
  • Excellent executive presence with the ability to effectively communicate complex insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • MD required, Board certified Oncologist preferred. Higher postgraduate degree such as PhD preferred.
  • Clinical and/or development experience in solid tumor oncology, particularly in BTC or Gastrointestinal cancers, is preferred.
