Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our dynamic National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction costs on a national level, collaborating with divisional real estate teams to evaluate construction bids. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of construction documents and possess an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering. Your primary goal will be to ensure that construction costs align with project scope and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Construction Managers to negotiate with contractors.
• Work with divisional Directors and Construction Managers to define appropriate scopes for clarification or pricing revisions.
• Provide divisions with up-to-date pricing data and practices for consistent pricing structures.
• Analyze bids and prepare detailed reports for project awarding.
• Track pricing data and provide regular reporting to the National Real Estate Project Manager.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while reviewing construction documents and proposals.
• Research alternative construction materials and methods for improved cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor market pricing for critical trades and provide pricing forecasts.
• Assist in training and developing team members and maintain a professional workforce.
• Uphold document and data security within assigned responsibilities.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements

• Work may be performed in an office or remote setting, occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand, and move between areas.

Travel

• Domestic travel required, up to 10%.
