Job Description
We are looking for a Customer Service and Stock Specialist to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness. Your role will involve enhancing the shopping experience for our customers by providing exceptional service and collaborating with the ALDI team.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays neatly
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management
- Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash policies and company procedures to minimize losses
- Follow established company policies, uphold security, and ensure data confidentiality
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient and accurate operation of a cash register
- Ability to operate equipment and perform cleaning duties
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to stay organized, detail-oriented, and multitask efficiently
- Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail work experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
