CVPH Registered Nurse - Maternal Newborn - night shift

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated CVPH Registered Nurse specializing in Maternal Newborn care for our night shift at The University of Vermont Health Network. As a Registered Professional Nurse, you will be responsible for managing patient care by utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes. You will also provide patient education, maintain professional nursing standards, and collaborate with other disciplines for comprehensive care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide emotional support and educate patients on care procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
• Prior mental health experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills and group facilitation experience.
• Ability to meet physical/pre-placement screening requirements.
• Clean record of Child Abuse, Neglect, and/or maltreatment per New York State Central Register.
